Australians are the biggest Match Fixers in the History

Mazhar Majeed with former Pakistani captain Salman Butt. Both of these men are right now the center of Match Fixing controversy.

The controversy about match fixing today take a new turn when the Mazhar Majeed who was the center of match fixing controversy told Southwark Crown Court that Australian Players are the biggest match fixers in the Game.  He also added the Match Fixing in cricket has been going on from years and never been stopped. He also named Pakistan Cricket legends Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis as the cricketers who fixed the matches in their playing days.

Remember Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis in the past has went through an investigation from PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) and both players has been fined and the report of that investigation said that Wasim Akram should never be given the captaincy of Pakistan Cricket Team. And also Australian former players Shane Warne and Steve Waugh in the past has been fined for telling the bookies about the pitch. It looks like that what ever the Mazhar Majeed was telling the court there was some truth in it.

During the hearing Mazhar Majeed claimed that he knows Hollywood Star Brad Pitt and Tennis Star Roger Federer. The Pakistani former players who are named in the match fixing by Mazhar Majeed are Wasim, Waqar, Ijaz Ahmed, Moin Khan. A tape that was played in the Court also said that Majeed was saying “The Australians, they are the biggest. They have 10 brackets a game,”

Mazhar Majeed and Pakistani teenage star Muhammad Amir already gave a statement to the court in which they accept that they fixed the match but they were forced to it. But other two persons who are the center of this controversy Muhammad Asif and Salman Butt said that they are innocent. Only the time will tell how this saga ends, but one thing is for sure that Fixing is the part of the Cricket from a very long time and it’s very hard to stop it.
