Latest on Majeed’s Claims and Match Fixing Saga

Mazhar Majeed coming out of London's Southwark Crown Court.

Today on London’s Southwark Crown Court Cricket agent Mazhar Majeed said he asked for US $ 1.2 million to fix the Test Match. Mean while Cricket Australia Chief  James Sutherland denied the claims of Mazhar Majeed that Australians are the biggest match fixers in the history of the game. CA Chief reject these claims by saying that  “outlandish and made by a person of dubious repute.”

And the Indian Players who are also named in this Spot fixing controversy are Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh. Majeed said that he had access to both these cricketers. But both players today reject these claims. Harbhajan Singh said that “I don’t know who this person is, I have never met him. We will definitely take some action against him. I don’t know whether it will be a legal action or whatever,”. While Yuvraj Singh on his twitter account said that “…And who is majid!! absolute rubbish! Don’t no never met!” he wrote.

Majeed yesterday also named Pakistan players Ijaz Ahmed, Wasim, Waqar and Moin that they are also match fixers. All of these guys on media rejected these claims. While Ijaz Ahmed said that if he was a fixer in his playing days then why is he in such a big debt.

But today the first time Butt’s lawyer address the court and defend his client he made some amazing claims, one of his claim was that Mazhar Majeed helped Pakistan bowlers temper the ball by supplying Vaseline.
