Euro 2012 Draws

Euro 2012 which was held in Ukraine and Poland in the June of 2012 it’s draws has been announced today. This time top 15 European teams has qualified to this tournament and no big name in European football will sit home and watch this tournament, just like England side did in 2008 Euro.

Group A: Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Republic.

This is the group of underdogs where only the 2004 Euro tournament winner Greece was a big name. Host Poland , Russia  Czech Republic and Greece all had a equal chance to qualify for the next round.

Group B: Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal.

Now this is the Group of Death. Frankly i had never ever seen a that much deadliest group in European history. With Netherlands who are the runners up of World Cup 2010 , Germany runners up of Euro 2008 and qualified as an undefeated side in this tournament and finally Ronaldo’s Portugal. Now There is no chance for Denmark to qualify for the next round but the disappointing this is this that one of these three top team is going out with Denmark. But still this group will provide us the most competitive encounter.

Group C: Spain, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Croatia.

Defending champions and World Cup 2010 winners Spain was in group C with the 2006 World Cup winners Italy, Croatia and Republic Of Ireland. This is not a very tough group fans of Spain and Italy didn’t had to worry about their teams because both of them will easily qualify for the next round. The only question is this that who top this group Spain or Italy.

Group D: Ukraine, Sweden, France, England.

England in 2008 fail to qualify for the Euros but this time they did qualify and looks like with their draw that they don’t have any problems to qualify for the next round, Because the only big team in their group is France. Host Ukraine and Sweden are also with France and England in this group. This is a type of group where you can see some upsets because Sweden and Ukraine are both above average sides, so France and England should not take them lightly. But both France and England should qualify for the next round easily because of the players they had in their squad.
