Chelsea beat Liverpool by 2-1 at Wembley and wins FA Cup. Chelsea striker Didier Drogba broke the goal scoring record at FA Cup final and became the only player to score four goals in Fa Cup final.
Ramires gave Chelsea the lead in the 11th minute of the match when he scored from a great counter attack. Drogba doubled the score for Chelsea when he put the ball in the back of the net with a superb finish. At that time Chelsea are in the complete control of the match and looked set to win their fourth FA Cup in last 6 years.
But the Andy Carroll substitution changed the game completely and soon Liverpool scored the goal and reduced the defecate. Carroll scored the goal from a great range and it was a clinical finish.
But drama doesn’t end there, with Liverpool controlling the match Carroll headed the ball towards the net 9 minutes before time but referee disallowed the goal because he thinks ball didn’t cross the line. Liverpool fans and players are furious on referee decision. The match ended with 2-1 and Chelsea lifts the FA Cup and ended Liverpool dreams of winning second silverware in the season.
After the match Chelsea keeper Peter Cech said about disallowed goal of Carroll that “I don’t think it was over the line.If the ball was behind the line I could haven’t put it out, I’m sure it was not behind.I haven’t seen it but I’m persuaded it wasn’t in and I knew it from the first moment.”
