Dubai Police introduces World’s FIRST ever Robot Police Officer in the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC).
We have seen in movies that how a Robot is taking care of security measures in everyday work environment. “I Robot” Will Smith’s movie is one of the many fictional concepts from past decade. But now the fiction has become a reality as Dubai Police has introduced the first ever Robocop, which can communicate in six languages and offer a salute to people.
The interesting fact about this Dubai Police’s Robocop is that; It’s ready to involve with people and provide guidance without any training. The Robocop was unveiled this week in 4th Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) Dubai. There are some amazing features in this robot. It is equipped with emotion detector – Which can help this robot to recognize hand gestures and commonly used hand signals within the range of 1.5 meters. The height of the robot is 70 inches and weighs around 220 pounds.
The facial expression recognition of this robot is the most amazing feature of them all. This Robocop can recognize if that which person in its surroundings are happy, angry or sad. Something, which is very exceptional. This world’s first ever robot cop and it will be the center of attention of all visitors and residents of Dubai in coming weeks. The Robocop communication ability is pretty surpising also because it communicates with you like a friend. The Robocop has the ability to communicate in stressful situation with people.
On the occasion of First ever Robot Police Officer launch Khalid Nasser Al Razzouqi, the director general of smart services at Dubai Police said the purpose of this bot is to help people in Malls and streets of Dubai. He also added that; “the Robocop is the latest smart addition to the force and has been designed to help us fight crime, keep the city safe and improve happiness levels.”
Dubai Police is the world’s most advanced police department and the launch of world’s first ever robot Police Officer is just the confirmation of their claims.
